(Financially or participated in creation)

  • FEDAnet – a friend-to-friend darknet project, free of corporations, governments, and censorship. Built on sane technologies, without bloat or overcomplication.

  • Wonderful Body Wanted – a hybrid visual novel about a pedagogical university student doing their internship. As always, schoolgirls start missing from the town…

  • Vinora Engine – the visual novel and interactive fiction industry is suffocating under monstrous engines.
Dozens of programmers keep offering garbage Drag-n-Drop, unreadable XML-like code, or even worse, wrappers over programming languages.
I am convinced that you can create visual novels on a 20-year-old laptop without knowing how to code and without suffering through Android Studio and Xcode.

  • Xcancel – a lightweight frontend for Twitter.

Games Link to heading

NB: I haven’t been playing many games over the last two years, so my skills are likely a bit rusty.

  • 0 A.D. – an open-source strategy game in the vein of “Age of Empires”. I’m absolute love for it, usually playing as Carthage through merchants.

  • RimWorld – a sci-fi colony story generator on the rim of the galaxy. I usually play as a mechanitors here.

  • Hearts of Iron IV – a 4X strategy game about World War II. I dropped it because the AI stopped posing any threat to me, while multiplayer is filled with sweatlords against whom I stand no chance.

  • IL-2 Sturmovik: 2001 – one of the most realistic flight simulators. That’s exactly why I play like a total scrub on my keyboard, but I still keep coming back for the nostalgia – it’s the very first game I ever played.

  • Katawa Shoujo – a bishoujo story set in the fictional Yamaku High School for children with disabilities. The main character, Hisao, collapses one day from heart pain – discovering that, overnight, he has become a person with a disability.
